Owen Tressider's highly anticipated first album, "Blue Hair Girls", was written during a year long stretch of teetering the balance between drug addiction and sobriety. Recorded in an apartment in Delray Beach, Florida almost overnight, Blue Hair Girl chronicles the artist's adventures with sex, love, substance abuse, and poverty. With a mixture of sweet, soulful ballads (You Kids Are Insane), to gritty, crunchy guitar Rock N' Roll (Want My Want), Owen rehashes the streetwise swagger of generations past, such as The Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop along with the wounded romanticism of the Smiths.
